母 - cannot be used on its own; e.g. 父母 (parents, or literally father-mother)
妈妈 - how people would address their mothers normally. This can be used both for calling your own mother or someone else’s mother. E.g. 我妈妈 (my mother), 你妈妈最近怎么样 (How’s your mother recently).
母亲 - a very formal way of saying “mother”. Most likely you’ll not use it in casual conversations, but you may hear/read it in poems.
娘亲 - an older way of saying “mother” in daily conversations. Most likely you’ll hear it in TV dramas or movies featuring China several hundred or thousand years ago. Similarly you may also hear 娘, meaning the same thing.
恃 - another old way of saying “mother”. I personally have never heard or used this word before and learnt about it just now :)
